چکیده
Oak lace bug ( Corythucha arcuata ) has continuously spread through Europe since its appearance in 2000, and it become a dangerous pest of Quercus species most countries. Despite high abundance the surrounding countries was found West Ukraine only 2020. During our investigation carried out 2020 OLB detected all studied large forest patches Ukrainian part Carpathian Lowland. These were one newest distribution data from after far coast Black See near Yalta (South Ukraine). live on Q. robur petraea but an orchard located infested patch we sweet cherry P. avium trees, which is new, formerly not mentioned cultivated host pest.

Sequencing and Characterization of the Invasive Sycamore Lace Bug Corythucha ciliata (Hemiptera: Tingidae) Transcriptome
The sycamore lace bug, Corythucha ciliata (Hemiptera: Tingidae), is an invasive forestry pest rapidly expanding in many countries. This pest poses a considerable threat to the urban forestry ecosystem, especially to Platanus spp. However, its molecular biology and biochemistry are poorly understood. This study reports the first C. ciliata transcriptome, encompassing three different life stages ...
متن کاملPlant water deficits and insect responses: the preference of Corythucha arcuata (Heteroptera: Tingidae) for the foliage of white oak, Quercus alba
, ABSTRACT. 1. The preference of Corythucha arcuata (Say) (Heteroptera: Tingidae) for the foliage of Quercus alba L. (Fagaceae) grown under water deficit was examined. Potted Q.alba saplings were grown under controlled levels of water deficit in a glasshouse. Adult C. arcuata were exposed to excised Q.alba foliage under controlled conditions in a growth chamber, and feeding preference assessed ...

J. Entomol. Sci. 35(3): 213-219 (July 2000) Abstract Azalea lace bug, Stephanitis pyrioides (Scott), feeding rates were investigated in controlled laboratory bioassays. Individual newly-eclosed nymphs were transferred to cut stems of 'Girard's Rose' azaleas and maintained at either 20°C for 26°C for the duration of their lifetimes. Feeding rates, determined using computer assisted image area an...
متن کاملTolerance to High Temperature Extremes in an Invasive Lace Bug, Corythucha ciliata (Hemiptera: Tingidae), in Subtropical China
Biological invasions are predicted to be more frequent as climate change is increasing its positive impact on the prevalence of invasive exotic species. Success of insect invaders in different temperature zones is closely related to their tolerance to temperature extremes. In this study, we used an exotic lace bug (Corythucha ciliata) as the study organism to address the hypotheses that an inse...
متن کاملEvaluating grower, landscape manager, and consumer perceptions of azalea lace bug (Heteroptera: Tingidae) feeding injury.
A survey using modified azalea stems was used to establish a "tally threshold value" for assessing azalea lace bug, Stephanitis pyrioides (Scott), feeding injury to azalea shrubs. Consumers and green-industry professionals, represented by ornamental growers, landscape architects, and landscape managers, recognized azalea lace bug injury when injured leaf area exceeded 2%. Purchase and treatment...
